How I reduced my “cortisol face” in 3 easy steps...

1. Stop puffing out cheeks, suck in instead
2. Stop taking cortisone medications
3. It might not be cortisol at all...

I wish diagnosis was this easy as instagram trends these days and it looks like we are blaming it on cortisol now!

Yes, cortisol can contribute to facial puffiness. Excess cortisol levels, as seen in conditions like Cushing's syndrome or prolonged stress, can result in a swollen or puffy appearance, especially in the face but is it the sole reason ?

No! there might be other issues

There might be other possible reasons for a puffy face:

- Water retention
- Excess sodium intake
- Hypothyroidism
- Adrenal gland dysfunction
- Medication side effects
- Food allergies
- Sinus
- Alcohol consumption
- Sleep troubles

Sorry I don't have a cortisol reducing drink to offer at a discounted price for a limited time but I am here to offer my guidance and reality for you guys anytime

Peri: not just hot flushes and dry vajayjays.
She starts in our 30’s and ramps herself up in our forties.

She starts with subtle changes to our hormones and emotions- might notice little changes in your cycle and feeling a bit forgetful or foggy.

Then she takes off in our 40’s. Our period changes, and becomes heavier, longer bleeds with shorter cycles. So we feel like we’re bleeding ALL.THE.TIME.
At 48 I’d just come off the back of my pregnancy with Matilda (pregnant at 46yrs), I was still breast feeding an 18 month old and I bled for 20 days straight.

And then there’s the emotions- not feeling like myself, anxiety and panic in my chest most mornings, blood boiling anger, overthinking, worrying about everything, second guessing myself…
