You’re ovulating. You’ve done basic bloods. Your p You’re ovulating. You’ve done basic bloods. Your partner’s sperm has been checked. But have you checked your thyroid PROPERLY? Your thyroid has a direct relationship with your reproductive system — influencing ovulation, menstrual regularity, prolactin, progesterone signalling and early pregnancy. And here’s the problem: a TSH alone is not a comprehensive thyroid assessment. When I’m investigating fertility, I want to understand the whole picture: TSH + FT4 + FT3 + TPO antibodies + Tg antibodies And depending on the clinical picture, I’m also looking closely at iron, iodine, selenium, vitamin D and zinc — nutrients involved in thyroid hormone production, conversion and function. Because sometimes the fertility conversation needs to start upstream of the ovaries. Test. Don’t guess. Your thyroid could be one of the missing pieces in your fertility picture. #Fertility #Infertility #ThyroidHealth #TryingToConceive TTC IVF Preconception WomensHealth

Non negotiable blood tests if you are trying to co Non negotiable blood tests if you are trying to conceive. If your GP or fertility specialist won’t run them, I can get them find for you. Comment BLUEPRINT, and I will send my blood test blueprints to you. YOUR MIRACLE. MY MISSION 💕
The labs you must have done if you are trying to c The labs you must have done if you are trying to conceive. ⬅️On the left: Everything in this list, except AMH, MTHFR & homocysteine, are basic, standard bloods. At the very least these need to be tested (along with FBE) if you want to have any idea 💡 what is going on with those hormones. They should be covered by Medicare. AMH: you may need to pay for separately if your GP requests it, but is party of standard fertility / IVF testing. MTHFR & homocysteine most likely will need to pay for. Will be lucky if your GP knows what it is. * FSH, LH, E2: Day 2-3 is when you are bleeding. Day 1 is the first day of your cycle. If you have not cycle, test on any day ** Progesterone on day “21” in a 28 day cycle, or 7 days before next expected period eg. day 18 in a 25 day cycle ➡️More specialised functional testing. • Not part of standard blood tests • Pay for privately if and when necessary YOUR MIRACLE. Test. Don’t guess. TOP 5 BLOOD TESTS FOR FERTILITY Test. Don’t guess. TOP 5 BLOOD TESTS FOR FERTILITY. Comment BLOODS, and I’ll send you my list, including optimal reference ranges If you’re trying to conceive, I want to know more than whether your results fall inside the “normal” reference range. These are 5 of the blood tests I commonly look at: 1. Comprehensive thyroid panel TSH, FT4, FT3 + thyroid antibodies. Thyroid function matters for ovulation, implantation and early pregnancy. 2. MTHFR + homocysteine Helps assess folate-related pathways and methylation. Homocysteine gives us a functional clue about folate, B12 and B6 status/metabolism. 3. Vitamin D Important for reproductive, immune and endocrine function. 4. Fasting glucose + fasting insulin Glucose alone doesn’t tell the whole story. Insulin resistance can affect ovulation, androgen signalling and metabolic health well before glucose becomes abnormal. 5. Full iron studies Not just ferritin. Iron is important for thyroid function, energy, ovulation and pregnancy, and deficiency is common in menstruating women. Your blood tests shouldn’t just be marked “normal.” They should be interpreted in the context of your fertility, your symptoms and your history. YOUR MIRACLE. MY MISSION. 🩷
